Designing and publishing a website requires in-depth HTML knowledge and programming skills. WebsitePainter brings an easier approach to creating websites. The simple, but effective tools it places at your disposal allow you to create professional looking pages, without typing any code. You can build your website from scratch or start with one of many templates which come with the program.

WebsitePainter is available for Windows and Mac OS X platforms. It is free to try for 30 days, without any major functionality restrictions. The software can be installed in less than a minute and there is no need to install any additional tools or drives.

Creating a website involves inserting and manipulating various objects in the central region of the application's interface. The available objects are listed on the right side and you only need to select one and click anywhere in the editing area. You can insert single images, slideshows or galleries, text, various shapes, buttons, check boxes, Java applets, Quicktime or YouTube videos and much more.

When you select an object in the editing area, its properties will appear in the lower left corner of the interface. You can change any characteristics, from colors or fonts, to dimensions or behavior. Objects can be resized and moved freely anywhere in the editing area, just by clicking and dragging. Besides linking an object to another page, in the same project, you can also link it with another website, an email address, Javascript items or files from the hard drive.

You can work on multiple pages, on the same interface. Each page can be edited on its own tab, in the main editing area. The pages are also displayed in a tree structure, in the upper left corner of the interface, where you can organize them in folders and sub-folders. Although you don't have to type any code to build your pages, it is still possible to insert HTML code and to retrieve the existing code of individual pages. The project can be exported and saved on the disk or published directly on the Internet.
